Vladimir V'yugin, a leading researcher in the algorithmic theory of randomness and several other research areas, passed away on 15 October 2024. "Information and Computation" has agreed to host a Special Issue in his honor:

You are invited to submit a paper to this Special Issue. The idea is that a typical paper will be a research paper, but there will also be some reviews and reminiscences.

The submission deadline is August 1, 2025. We plan to finish the review and revision process and make the final decisions by April 1, 2026; the papers will be published in the journal as soon as they are accepted. There is no formal page limit, but it is unusual to have submissions longer than 40 pages.

Guest Editors: Peter Gacs, Yuri Kalnishkan, Alexander Shen, and Vladimir Vovk
