Librarian-cum-Information Officer
The Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, an autonomous think tank engaged in Security Studies, supported by the Ministry of Defence invites applications for the post of Librarian-cum-Information Officer
Appointment for the post will be initially made on contract for a period of two years in the Pay Band-3: Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-and allowances as per CCS (Pay) Rules. (The total emoluments would be approximately Rs. 45000/-)
Essential Qualifications
Masters Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with a least 55% marks or its equivalent grade from any recognized university/Institute.
Desirable Qualifications
PhD/M Phil Degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation from any recognized University/Institute.
Professional Experience
- Experience of at least 10 years in a managerial capacity in the library of any University/Institution of higher learning /Library of a reputed Research organization.
- Candidates should be skilled in the usage of advanced library management soft wares. Experience of managing hybrid library with vast knowledge of latest electronic resources/databases, use of modern information tools and experience of providing top grade research oriented library services.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.

To organize and manage one of India’s finest research library with a wealth of information in print and digital formats.
