Hello AIRS Users!
We are moving our mailing list from the AIRSNY Google Group to Mailchimp as of today.
Mailchimp is a web based email and mailing list management service that offers many benefits:
* A more complete user profile
* Better segmentation of emails
* Ability for each user to update his/her own profile
Using Mailchimp will allow us to build a more useful contact profile of our users. For example, with the Google Group, all we have is your email address.
But with Mailchimp, we can add your job title, agency name, address and phone. And most importantly, you now get to choose what type of email announcement you would like to receive.
You can choose only announcements for NYC area users or choose only upstate announcements. Of course if you would like to receive both, that's an option as well. No more receiving emails that's not relevant to your region!
Additionally, you can update your own profile. At the bottom of every email from us, there will be a link at the bottom to "Un subscribe" to our list or to "update" your profile. For example, if your job title has changed, you can simply follow the link included in each email and make an update.
(As usual, if there is anything you would like to send to our AIRS users such as AIRS job postings, just email me the information and I will send it out for you.)
To get this process started, I have already migrated all our email addresses from the Google Group to Mailchimp. To complete your user profile, please use the link below to fill out this short and simple form with your job title and agency information. And make sure you select which announcement you would prefer to receive from us. If the link below does not open automatically, simply copy and paste it into your browser address bar:
