Dear AIROYoungers,

We warmly welcome you to the fifteenth session of our YOUNG Online Seminar Series “Machine Learning NeEDS Mathematical Optimization”, which is a satellite event of https://congreso.us.es/mlneedsmo/

In each session, three junior academics show their latest results in the field of Data Science and Analytics, where Mathematical Modeling and Mathematical Optimization is at the core of their presentations. This time we have the pleasure of having:

 YOUNG Poster April 8.png

Mr Cheng Peng from Stony Brook University, talking about Factor Model of Mixtures.

Mr Haofeng Zhang from Columbia University, talking about Estimate-Then-Optimize versus Integrated-Estimation-Optimization versus Sample Average Approximation: A Stochastic Dominance Perspective.

Ms Giulia Di Teodoro from Sapienza University of Rome, talking about Unboxing Tree Ensembles for interpretability: a hierarchical visualization tool and a multivariate optimal re-built tree.

It will be on April 8, 2024 from 16.30 to 17:30 (CET). It will be 100% online-access, with no registration required. Link to the talk:  https://eu.bbcollab.com/collab/ui/session/guest/3ef5ca638bf54c85aee046eb54559d2e
