Dear AIRO/EUROYoungers,

We warmly welcome you to the seventh session of our YOUNG EURO OSS on Operational Research and Machine Learning, which is a satellite event of https://euroorml.euro-online.org.

In each session, three junior academics show their latest results in the field of Data Science and Analytics, where Mathematical Modeling and Mathematical Optimization is at the core of their presentations. This time we have the pleasure of having:

Fabian Akkerman from University of Twente on "Improving Machine Learning with Linear Programming: A Large-Scale Study of Totally Corrective Boosting".

Aban Ansari-Önnestam from Linköping University, "On Modified Newton Methods for Unconstrained Optimization Based on the Lanczos Tridiagonalization".

Antonio Navas Orozco from Universidad de Sevilla on "Generating robust counterfactual explanations in classification and regression".

It will be on February 16, 2026 from 16.30 to 17:45 (CET). It will be 100% online-access, with no registration required. Subscribe here for weekly notifications about each session, links to the talks and uploaded videos of past talks.
