  • Pregnant animals as well as puppies and kittens under ten weeks of age are not allowed to travel on Turkish Airlines.

Certain conditions apply to service animals

  • Written statement of the veterinarian.
  • A written statement from the passenger describing handling procedures to prevent the dog from defecating.
  • A signed statement, accompanied by photographs or other illustrations, demonstrates the dog’s ability to relieve himself without compromising his health or hygiene.
  • In the event that your pet carrier exceeds the standard dimension or weight more than 8 kg, the relevant pet will be carried in the hold of the aircraft. As per Turkish Airlines pet policy, crate conditions include-
  • It consists of a solid surface, sufficient size, breathable and waterproof to ensure the comfort and safety of pets.
  • The airline does not allow pets to be carried in the hold of the aircraft in soft baggage.
