A Workshop Exploring Innovations in Education
Oct 8-11th, 2016
Let’s get together and understand education, and what it means for different people. Let’s listen to the stories of people who have chosen to create a change in the educational system, and why?
These four days should instill a deeper understanding about the current landscape of education, different avenues of change possible, and the ways you can be part of the journey. We will hear from people working at policy level and its implementation, people working at the grassroots, people making change within the system, as well as people finding their own path outside of it. This workshop is recommended for 20-30 year olds who are interested in education-related issues or are looking for ways to be a change maker.
Some of the organizations that participated in this workshops earlier are Pratham, Google, Manzil, Kranti, Alohomora, Fourth Lion Consulting, Principal of schools in HP education system, Poverty alleviation Lab, Infinite Engineers and Aavishkaar.

Nature inspires like nothing else. The workshop will be followed by an optional camping trip in the mountains for 2 days + 1 night. Camping gear can be rented on campus.
Aavishkaar - Cultivating curious, creative and critical thinking citizens of tomorrow.
Aavishkaar is a program of science and math to encourage hands-on experience through models, experiments, experience and projects. Our goal is to shift the focus from teaching to learning, from teacher-focused to student-focused classrooms. We aim to make learning in our middle and high schools a joyful experience and to spread the culture of science and scientific inquiry, making it accessible to all.
