Dear Ones,

We wish to share with you about our upcoming 'प्रश्न विकास का- A Dialogue on Rural Development' scheduled during June 13-19, 2019 for college students enrolled in UG/PG courses in the serene campus of Deer Park Institute in Bir, Himachal Pradesh.

These Dialogues have been very powerful medium of transformation for us so far. Through 15+ Dialogues that we conducted in last three years, we have had an opportunity to interact with around 250 people coming from different walks of life- ranging from Corporate CEOs to Social workers to Parents to college and school students- with their multiple perspectives! Talking about College Students, we have, so far, had the opportunity to host people from various eminent institutions such as IITs, ISI, IRMA, TISS, Ambekar University, NID, BIT Mesra, DCE, DU etc.

This June, we plan to hold the Dialogue again for College Students so that we can have insightful discussions around the idea of Self-reliance, Governments and Markets for the benefit of Rural Communities. The seven day long Dialogue not only focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of all possible kinds of systems (be it Gandhian, Socialist or Capitalist), but it also tries to find a middle path of Development so that we do not fall into the trap of extremism yet again! And, all of it is done through many interactive sessions, community visits, hands on activities, documentaries and silence based sessions.

Please follow the link here for find more information about this Dialogue. Here on this link, you can also explore the testimonials of our previous batch of college students who joined us for the Dialogue in December, 2018. This is what Dnyanesh Borse from IIT Bombay had to share after attending that Dialogue:

“This Dialogue has been one of the life-directing experiences for me. I got a very inclusive and integral perspective to look towards rural development. I was earlier involved in some rural development discussion and activities, but never before I had imagined self-reliance aspect. Understanding Development, by initially understanding Self-reliance, Markets and Governments interactions gave a new perspective. I am really grateful to be a part of this Dialogue as I had many misconceptions before that I can clearly see now. Without this Dialogue, I might have ended up doing something that might not actually help to achieve desired outcomes just because of incomplete understanding.

I believe that whatever I have learned through experience in this Dialogue will reflect in my actions. I got to know more about myself. This Dialogue has pumped enough courage and confidence that I will now not hesitate to have any uncommon direction of life.”

It would be very helpful if you can share this email with college students in your network. Even better would be to share the email with college faculty or directors so that they can take a call on allowing their students to participate officially in the Dialogue!

Do get in touch with us through this email or on 88948 93083 to know more.
