Hi there. I've just received my Mini 3 Pro. I don't know If I can install the Airdata UAV app. Is it really true, or am I doing something wrong??

Hello, I'm happy to report that we support the flight logs for the new DJI Mini 3 Pro.

If you are asking if the AirData UAV mobile app can be installed on the new "DJI RC" controller, we cannot confirm this just yet. However, the AirData UAV app can be downloaded on most other DJI controllers (RC Pro, Smart Controller, CrystalSky, etc.), so we encourage you to attempt an install of the AirData UAV app onto the DJI RC. If the DJI RC does not have the Play Store, please open the web browser on the device and type in this address: https://airdata.com/ad/

The above address will take you to a page that contains a direct download link for the AirData UAV mobile app. If the AirData UAV mobile app can be downloaded to the DJI RC, it should upload logs from DJI Fly, the flight app used with the Mini 3 Pro.

Hope this helps!

Best,
Trevor

The apk won't load onto my Mini 3  Smart Controller, Message says "user not allowed to install apps"
It's very limited what you can do with the Android side of things and it seems unable to connect to the pc by usb. Debugging is on and it says file transfer by usb is enabled but it won't connect.
I have also tried copying the flight log files from the internal disk to the sd card and transfering to the pc and then manually upoding to Airdata but it brings up an Error 5 message.
The flight logs are visible in my DJI profile so thay are definitely going through to the DJI servers.
Why on earth DJI have to make things so difficult beats me. Pretty disappointed with this and may have to use the standard controller and phone to get the flights logged.

Hello, thanks for the information. To your point, we've received word that the "DJI RC" controller with the built-in display for the Mini 3 Pro does not have a web browser or the Play Store, so we cannot verify a method of downloading the AirData UAV app onto the controller. Perhaps DJI will release an update in the future that includes a web browser for the DJI RC. If that happens, the process of downloading the AirData app would be very similar to downloading the app onto the RC Pro, as explained here.

We typically recommend using our AirData UAV mobile app to sync your DJI Fly logs. Since it doesn't look like the AirData app can be installed on the DJI RC (built-in display) at this time, please see the below options for syncing logs when using the DJI RC with the Mini 3 Pro.

You can use the process we refer to as "Direct DJI Sync" to sync your DJI Fly logs with AirData. Here are instructions for Direct DJI Sync.

In the section titled "After Flying" in the help article, DJI GO is pictured, but DJI Fly looks slightly different. Please see this short video for where to enable auto-sync in DJI Fly.

You can also try manually retrieving the flight logs from the DJI RC by connecting the controller with a computer using a cable. You might be able to then access the files that are located on the controller. However, we are not sure where exactly the logs are stored on the controller at this time. If you are able to manually retrieve the logs from the controller, you can upload them to AirData here.

I hope this helps!

Best,
Trevor

Hello, I havent' received the DJI RC yet, but maybe you can use an android phone with DJI Fly and Airdata on it just to sync flights from the DJI cloud with the DJI Fly app and then upload with Airdata app.
I know this is not an optimal solution, but it might work.

Can you confirm try and confirm it please?

I also am very concerned about not being able to upload to airdata when using DJI RC.

thanks

Mauro

Hi Mauro,

Please see this video that outlines the two methods of uploading DJI Fly logs to AirData. While our recommended method of uploading DJI Fly logs to AirData is with our AirData UAV mobile app, you can also use the process we refer to as "Direct DJI Sync" to sync your DJI Fly logs with AirData, which will work with the DJI RC controllerHere are instructions for Direct DJI Sync.

In the section titled "After Flying" in the help article, DJI GO is pictured, but DJI Fly looks slightly different. Please see this short video for where to enable auto-sync in DJI Fly.

Thanks Trevor.
Can ask why Direct DJI Sync is not recommended?
It seems to me it's the cleanest as it doesn't involve any app on your phone.

thanks

Not that I don’t mind learning about the mini 3 but I don’t have one lol. Don’t know how I got tied into this conversation. So you can’t say anything bad about me, lol

Hi Mauro,

We typically recommend syncing with our AirData app instead of Direct DJI Sync because the upload process tends to be smoother with our AirData app as we can bypass DJI's servers. For instance, when using Direct DJI Sync with DJI GO 4 or Pilot, you need to manually sync your flights with DJI's servers from within the flight app. Also, when using Direct DJI Sync with DJI Fly, there is a known issue where flights can become cropped – please see this article for more information on the cropped flights issue. However, to recap on a prior comment, Direct DJI Sync will work to sync your Mini 3 Pro flights.

HI all,

I can report that the  "Direct DJI Sync" is working quite well with the DJI RC. However, just lately I am noticing that my time-stamps are logging "AM" when a "PM" flight occurred and "PM" when an "AM" flight occurred. The times are correct in all cases. The Might this have something to do with the fact that with a recent firmware update DJI opted to automatically turn "OFF" WiFi and Bluetooth as soon as the motors are started? Additionally, this does NOT occur when I bind the DJI RC to my Mavic 3 Cine, everything logs correctly there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know we're early in this aircraft and squashing bugs has been fast and furious since I received the bird June 9th.

Thanks!
-Jim

Hi Jim,

If you wanted to send a couple of logs to us that contain incorrect AM and PM designations, we'd be glad to take a look. You can send the logs to sup...@airdata.com
