Hi, wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. DJI Flight Record file naming has changed from "DJIFlightRecord..xxx" to "FlightRecord...xxx" and now AirData UAV will not upload the files.

I can manually rename them to "DJIFlightRecord..xxx" and then they upload OK.

Running DJI Fly on IPhone 11 iOS 18.3.1

Thanks.

Yes, I noticed this. I didn't notice that it wouldn't upload. But I likely changed the name to the old format before uploading.

I noticed this change as well—it came with the DJI Fly 1.17.0 update and impacted the direct sync between AirData UAV and the DJI cloud for me. I reached out to AirData UAV about it on May 18th, and to their credit, they had a fix in place the very next day that restored the cloud sync functionality. It seems like the new "FlightRecord..." naming format was the culprit.

Good to know that manually renaming the files back to "DJIFlightRecord..." also works for manual uploads. Hopefully DJI standardizes this or AirData fully accommodates the new format across the board.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi all,

I'm happy to share that our latest app updates, released this week, now support automatic uploading of logs with the new file names from the recent DJI Fly update. Our apps will also keep uploading logs with the older file names used before the update.

AirData UAV app latest versions:
  • iOS: 1.35.3
  • Android: 2.2.7.2 build 338
Please let us know if anyone experiences any further issues.

Best,
Trevor

Good morning, I need your help to verify a flight of the M30T, since I have had a problem with interference and low signal at a point where I always fly, but the file weighs 2.4GB and Airdata only allows me to upload 880MB, which makes it impossible for me to upload that record, in order to get a real diagnosis of what happened, how could I do it, is there any way to upload it? I await your prompt response, thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for writing with this question.

When conducting a DJI flight, there are typically two flight records that are created – one is stored on the drone itself (DAT file) and one file is stored on the phone/tablet (TXT file). We recommend that you upload the TXT files, which are much smaller than the DAT files.

The best method for uploading flight logs will depend on your controller/phone/tablet model, your flight app, and your workflows. For detailed directions on automatically syncing flight logs to AirData, please visit our uploads help page: https://app.airdata.com/wiki/Help/Upload

If after review of our help page you are unsure of the best method of upload for your DJI M30T flight, please reach out to us directly at sup...@airdata.com and we would be happy to help work with you further to troubleshoot.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,
Teresa
