Hey folks. I was flying my new neo with the rcn3 controller and no device when it flew away.

I know it is close but need the logs to find it. I cant seem to figure out how to upload the extracted .dat file to get anywhere.

Please clarify "no device".  Was your phone connected to the n3?

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for writing.

It is important to note that our DAT support is primarily available for a limited range of older aircraft, as newer DAT logs tend to be encrypted. When conducting a DJI flight, there are typically two flight records that are created – one is stored on the drone itself (DAT file) and one file is stored on the phone/tablet (TXT file).

Due to DJI's encryption, AirData only supports DAT files for the aircraft listed in this article - unfortunately, the DJI Neo drone DAT files are not supported by AirData. However, we recommend that you upload the DJI Neo TXT files, which are much smaller than the DAT files and are indeed supported by AirData.

Uploading Flight Logs
The best method for uploading flight logs will depend on your controller/phone/tablet model, your flight app, and your workflows. For detailed directions on uploading flight logs to AirData, please visit our uploads help page: https://app.airdata.com/wiki/Help/Upload

If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to sup...@airdata.com. We are happy to help!

Best regards,
Jordan
