Currently, I have my own account (Gold). I'm thinking of opening an account for my company where I'd like not only to have my existing logs appear  from my personal account but also want to add additional pilots.  I still want to maintain my personal account with my existing log.  Can I log/track my flights to multiple accounts??  Thanks!!

Hello, that's a great question! In short, yes, you can upload the same flight logs to multiple AirData accounts. As far as the best way to accomplish this, you have options, which are outlined below:

  1. Using our "Send Flights to" feature
AirData allows you to send flights from one account to another. If you went with this method, you could upload all flights to your existing GOLD account, then send the flights (in bulk, if you wish) to your company AirData account. Or, you could upload all flights to your company account and send the flights to your GOLD account. To send flights, either the sender's account or the recipient's account needs to be an Enterprise AirData account. To learn more about sending flights, please see this help page.

  2. Manually uploading logs
You can always download the individual logs to your computer from one account, then manually upload them to your other AirData account. To download flight logs, please see this screenshot

  3. Automatically uploading logs
Automatically uploading flight logs to multiple AirData accounts would get tricky, depending on the drone type, operating system, and flight app used. For instance, if you are using the AirData UAV app to automatically upload flight logs, the app will not upload a flight log twice – so, the app would upload the log to the first account, but not the second.

Feel free to send an email to sup...@airdata.com and we'd be happy to discuss your specific setup and the best way to ensure that flight logs make it to both accounts.

Trevor, thanks for quick response.  Much appreciated.  I'll need to scratch my head a bit and consider the options presented.  It sounds like the least common denominator for transferring would be to download from one and upload to the other - as a starting point.  From there, I'd have to decide where I want all new flights to go (automatically).  I use both DJI and Litchi apps.  Not sure if they can send to more than one.  Maybe if I change token and re-sync?  If I can only automatically upload to one, then I'd have to choose what logs I'd like to copy back to the other and do manually, it sounds.  I'll contact support but thought others may benefit from this exchange.

Hi Andy, you did a great job summing it up. Yes, the most straightforward method would be to upload all flights to one account, then manually download and upload the desired flights to the second account. Regarding your question about whether or not you could automatically sync to a second account by changing the token and re-syncing in an app like Litchi – the log(s) will only upload to the first account. If you entered a different token after the logs already synced to the first account, you would get a notification along the lines of "there are no new flights to sync".
