I always wondered what the Bat Life column is showing, as my batteries are 3 years old, charged around 100 times, but show 91% battery life. So are they actually that good of shape, or is this an arbitrary value based on certain factors ? BatteryLife.JPG

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding how battery life is calculated for your batteries on AirData.

As batteries degrade over time, AirData incorporates the data trends derived from the flight logs and reported by the smart battery. These trends reflect the gradual degradation of battery performance. You can view the visualization of this degradation by accessing the TRENDS tab within each battery profile.

In the battery profile, the battery life percentage is calculated based on the comparison to its maximum capacity when it was brand new. For instance, a battery operating at 100% indicates it is functioning at maximum capacity. As the battery life percentage decreases, it indicates that the battery's efficiency has reduced compared to its original state. Specifically, a drop in battery life percentage to x% signifies that the batteries are now operating at x% of their original efficiency.

I hope this explanation clarifies the calculation of battery life on AirData. If you require further clarification or have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am here to assist you.

Best regards,
Teresa
