Is there a way to create a NEW maintenance service, without eliminating or changing an existing maintenance service? I want to create a new service, Battery Maintenance, to act as a reminder for my pilots to rotate batteries into the charger and into the aircraft. Notifications for the battery would get triggered every x number of days. We fly very few missions, so the batteries can tend to get forgotten about.

Thanks

Brad

Hi Brad,

You can customize maintenance tasks in AirData by creating Service List templates for each drone type, or you can create a template that will apply to all drone types. Adjust the intervals and modify tasks to fit your specific needs. For example, to create a new battery maintenance service, start with the "Basic" or "Full" battery service and then customize it as needed.

Below is more information on how to customize maintenance tasks:

Thanks for the reply.

I don't think the solutions in the videos apply to what I'm trying to accomplish. First, I am not trying to customize by aircraft. I only have one aircraft, the M30T. Second, I do not want to replace or customize an exisiting service type, I want to create an additional one.

For example, instead of only having Basic Battery and Full Battery service types, I would like add a new one, Maintain Battery. Doing so would result is three battery service types - Maintain Battery, Basic Battery, and Full Battery. The idea is for Maintain Battery to trigger reminders to conduct certain maintenance, such as checking the battery charge status and recharging, based on x days since Mantain Battery was last performed.

For further background, this is a small public safety agency with minimal deployments. Unfortunately, batteries have been left unattended for many months, causing the potential for damage. I am trying to avoid this happening again, and would like a service trigger reminding my pilots to check the batteries and maintain their charge.

Thanks,

Brad

Hi Brad,

Thank you for sharing the additional context about what you’re trying to accomplish—that’s very helpful.

At this time, it isn’t possible to create an additional service type. With that in mind, is there a reason you wouldn’t want to include the tasks you have in mind for a “Maintain Battery” service within one of the existing battery service types (e.g., Basic Battery or Full Battery)?
