Hi, another question, some of my potential users have iPhones, and as a result they cannot 'see' the AIRcable.
Is there some way I can modify the AIRcables identity so that iPhones might recognise it?

Thanks
Greg

You can modify the AIRcable to look like a headset but you will not be
able to make connections.
The only way to read some information from the AIRcable (e.g. temperature
or battery) would be to modify the name every time.
Then you can discover the AIRcable as a headset and get its name
and you see this info as well.
Unfortunately Apple blocks connections, so you cannot send anything.

The other way would be to pwnage the iPhone and install a real
Bluetooth stack. That would make the iPhone into a workable
Bluetooth node.

3rd option, you wait for our new AIRcable BLE, Bluetooth low energy,
or 4.0 is supported on the iPhone 4 and up

Hope that helps

Thanks for the rapid reply (again).
I only need to be able to 'see' the AIRcable so that I can PAIR with it, (it is the action of pairing that I use).

I've just looked, it has something to do with the config.txt i.e. the BT Class of device & version?
Any thoughts on what numbers to set @0000 to make it 'look' like an iPhone headset?
I've had a quick Google, but it looks tricky and I don't want to 'overwork' the eeprom experimenting to much!
:o)

Best Regards

Greg
