Hi folks,

I am trying to get connected to an oracle db instance (oracle:thin). In order to make a connection I entered my hostname followed by port number and SID:

filled other fields as:
Conn Type: Oracle
Schema: username
Login: username
Password: ***

After saving the connection it gives me following ORACLE error. Honestly I tried many different combination of port sid formats, none of them work:
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

I appreciate your help and effort for improving this awesome tool...
Thanks
~Masih

Hey,

It's been a while since I've touched Oracle, but have you read over these docs:

Wondering if you need DSN/tnsnames.ora set up.

Cheers,
Chris

Also, if you are able to connect to your Oracle DB outside of Airflow, then this:

Suggests it is likely a mis-configuration on the Airflow side.

If you can't connect to your DB outside of Airflow successfully, then the config issue is probably on the Oracle side.
