This might be an interesting playground, also for the younger or less
experienced ... :)

Seems like they're running the contests on Google App Engine using
Python coded submissions.

I've really enjoyed doing this, it's stacks of fun. My entries are http://www.rpscontest.com/entry/404001 and http://www.rpscontest.com/entry/407001 (407001 being the later iteration).

Unfortunately, the automated match play is down due to the App Engine funding model, but the author is considering asking Google to make the hosting free so he can run the comp.

You can play manually, or play individual matches against other bots.
