Thanks for the link, Guy. It certainly shows how Python (and, well, just good program design) can be used to make the 'nub' or heuristic of an AI algorithm really stand out. 

I particularly enjoyed his section on applying 'neural net' techniques to a relational database. I hadn't seen that before and it was great fun to watch. I love learning about tricks like this which can be used to get some really interesting information out in a nontraditional way from traditional data.
