From Charles Steer - 2010 AIOH President :
While it isn’t our intent as an Institute to take sides I think the
reason we are involved in occupational hygiene is that we are fully
committed to improving worker health; I think it would be great to
reinforce this with a motto
so that our aspirations are immediately obvious.
For example, both the AIHA and BOHS have prominent mottos that they
use as follows:
- AIHA - Protecting worker health
- BOHS - Working for a healthier workplace
Our Council have thought of a couple of possibilities for AIOH:
- Working to ensure worker health
or
- Working to improve worker health

Both those he reported are good; however terseness is essential in
such expressions. Here are two to consider:-
• Making workplaces healthier
• Towards healthy workplaces
Note that the emphasis is on the workplace itself as we cannot do much
about workers’ health off the job, apart from encouraging healthy
lifestyles, nor can we guarantee “health’ any more than “safe”. Hence
the element of probability.

What about "driving workplace health" or "striving for a healthy
workplace"
