AIN Working Groups (WG) and Provincial Chapters are central to achieving the vision of AIN community in Nepal. Started since early 2000s, WG brings together INGOs working in a similar field to leverage on mutual capacity, complement various initiatives and to multiply the impacts through implementation and resource mobilization in common geographies, themes, and beneficiaries, with local and regional partners and stakeholders. WGs are purely voluntary and individuals representing these groups come with a dedicated interest towards expanding the knowledge and scope within the given WG community. AIN SC is highly appreciative of the proactive initiatives taken by WGs and is committed to bringing the best out of these groups. With the foundational objective of establishing WGs as impactful, driven, and resourceful mediums to steer the development agenda in Nepal, several discussions have taken place during AIN plenaries and WG gatherings on “Re-thinking WGs”. In the changed sub-national governance structure of the country, AIN is privileged to have our Provincial Chapters formed and play a significant role in maintaining collaboration with the provincial and local level actors. While some Province Chapters are quite active and have gained compelling reputations, others are lagging sometimes and need proper structuring and solid formation. With an ambition to further this approach of making our WGs and Provincial Chapters more coherent and leading from the front, the AIN SC shared during the last plenary that a survey would be launched to get feedbacks from all AIN members and WGs. In this regard, we humbly request you to fill the survey by 20 February 2024. Thank you, SC Members |
