We are pleased to share the Country Report on Nepal Food Systems Dialogues 2021. This is the result of 10 Food Systems Dialogues (National-3 and Provincial-7) convened in 2021 as part of the UN Food Systems Summit 2021. The report contains the analysis of current food systems (context), Pathways, and Strategic Actions for the transformation of Nepal’s food systems to equitable, resilient and sustainable ones by 2030. This matches well with the commitment of the Government of Nepal (GoN) to achieve the 2030 agenda.

 

We would like to thank you for your contribution to the process. Some 28 agencies have shared  commitment to contribute to implement the pathways and strategic actions; we believe this report will provide reference to the programme planning and implementation for that purpose. Thank you for joining hand with GoN in this journey.

 

We would like to appreciate the support received from UN Systems in Nepal through the UN Resident Coordinator. The UN World Food Programme played a vital role as a focal agency on behalf of UN agencies in Nepal to coordinate and convene all the dialogues events—our sincere thanks to WFP and team.
