The Association of International NGOs (AIN), formed by INGOs working in Nepal in September 1996, is an important actor in the development sector of Nepal as it has been implementing various people-centered development programmes throughout the hills, mountains and Terai areas.

AIN has come together to promote mutual understanding, exchange information and share experiences and learning of our work in Nepal for more effective collaboration. At present the AIN comprises more than 135 INGOs, working on a wide-range of issues and sectors to contribute to development efforts in Nepal.

Recognizing the growing need to work in a country prone to Natural Disaster and several emergency situation, AIN is committed to expand its resources on behalf of all disadvantaged people in Nepal, especially those vulnerable to Natural Disaster and would like to continue to engage with the Government, donors,various sectors of the civil society, NGOs and poor and excluded people on these issues.

AIN Task Group on Disaster Management and Climate Change (AINTGDM-CC) is a working group focusing on Emergency and Disaster Management issue under the umbrella of AIN Nepal. It has been continuously updating and sharing the issues and updates within its member organizations and has been taking responsibility to develop understanding on emergency and disaster in Nepal. It share and exchange knowledge on Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Response among its member for effective coordination and resource mobilization. The E-Group has been developed to share the idea among its members and further enhancing the task on Disaster Management in Nepal. 

AINTGDMCC closely work with Government of Nepal (MOHA and all DRM/CC Ministries including National Reconstruction Authority NRA), National Disaster Management Agencies (NDMA), UNDP - NRRC and other similar networks like DPNet, DIMAN, NCDMC, DRRNets in Nepal and Duryog Niwaran, ADRRN, SATHI at the regional level. However, only AIN member and partners staff are illegible to be a part of this group.

Mr. Santosh Dahal, World Vision International Nepal is the present coordinator of this Task Group and Ms. Kalpana Aryal, Plan International Nepal is Co-Coordinator of the Task Group. Mani Kumar, Christian Aid anKatherine Price, CRS  both  are the advisory member of this group  as AIN Steering Committee Representatives to AINTGDMCC.
