Hello, guys. Is it possible to install AIMMS on a university cluster? Is there any one who is using AIMMS on a cluster?

Hello,

Yes, you can install AIMMS on a cluster but the actual configuration depends on whether it is for a single user or you want multiple users to be able to use AIMMS.

See this link for details about the free academic licenses.

Hello, Mohan.

Thanks for your reply and also for sharing the link giving details about free academic licenses.

I was trying to install the free academic license on a university cluster, which did not work. I believe it was because the free license could only be used on a regular desktop/ laptop.

Then I came across paid licenses which has a network option (network licenses). Can you please confirm whether this license could be used to install AIMMS on a university cluster for a single user?

Thanks.

Hello Sujith,

I should have mentioned earlier that the free academic license can be installed on PC operating systems only - Windows 10, Windows 7 and so on.

Your university cluster most likely has a server OS, so yes - you need to go for the network license option. The academic offering is a one time fee of $500 and the license will be valid for 1 year after which you can request for a free renewal every year.
