Fixing Pivot Table layout

I'm about to experimentally blow up my laptop out of frustration:

how can I (temporarily) fix the pivot table layout? I want it to
remain as I left it last time. But even without closing pages/model
whatever it continually resets my pivot table layout...

tried numerous options from the pivot table menu in edit mode but I
can't figure it out and I can't find anything in the manuals yet.

Before deciding to blow up your laptop, I would advice you to take a
look at the AIMMS Help, search on Pivot Table, then go Pivot Table
Properties > General > Save Layout State.

There the relevant properties are explained. You may set these options
and experiment with the resulting behaviour of the Pivot Table wrt
layout.

Assuming that your laptop is still in place when you read this, please
let me know whether this advice helped / sufficed.

I controlled myself and did as you said. Found the help section, but
again needed quite some time before figuring it out. For some reason,
AIMMS (3.8) does not save the "Entire tree layout" when I open/ close
nodes, but it does when i switch around two indices and back, and save
then. Weird imho.

Anyway, I've got it working now so thanks for your wise words!
