Dear esteemed member of the AIM family
It is my pleasure to present Aimpulse 2016 before the esteemed Readers. Aimpulse 2016 comprises of articles covering wide-ranging topics from the perspectives of social, economical, political, cultural, environmental, philosophical and ethical standpoint with managerial overtones. It is hoped that the Readers would find Aimpulse 2016 quite mind provoking. The soft copy is available in the AIM website and can be downloaded from the link http://www.aimguwahati.edu.in > Students Zone > Aim Pulse 2016
Though it is not possible to extend special thanks personally to each and every one who have contributed their articles I, on behalf of the Aimpulse team forward my heartiest thanks to all of them through this platform. Each contribution has indeed been a precious bead that enabled to make the "Necklace of Pearl" called AIMPULSE. It is believed that the contributions will have an impact on all of us in one way or the other.
Among the contributors, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the well-wishers of Aimpulse namely Ms Moon Jain, Ms Himadri Phukan and Mr Aninda Barua (presently NRIs) for moving an extra mile forward in contributing their articles for Aimpulse 2016 in spite of their busy schedule. It is hoped that the Readers would find the articles quite interesting and inspiring too.
I am grateful to Dr. Mukulesh Barua (Director and Professor, AIM) for facilitating the early release of Aimpulse 2016. I am further indebted to all the members of AIM family both teaching and non teaching, for their positive comments and suggestions during the entire process of publishing this issue. My special thanks are reserved for Dr Gauranga Kumar Sharma (Senior Faculty-AIM) and Dr. Nripendra Narayan Sharma (former Director and Professor of AIM) for spending their valuable time in the proof reading process of Aimpulse 2016.
This years‟ AIMPULSE team comprised of a group of young and bright talents who are AIM PGDM students. They are Samar, Priyam, Lipika and Ankit of the first year and Upal, Luna, Sehnaz and Gitali of the second year. They zealously worked together with full team spirit to make this Annual Literary Mission of AIM a success. In this regard I would like to congratulate them and wish them all success in their future endeavours as well.
For Aimpulse 2016, the best contributor award has been given to Ankit Sharma of AIM PGDM batch 2015-2017 for the article titled “Management Principles in a Paan Shop”.
Lastly as the Editor Aimpulse-2016, I positively look forward for your innovative ideas and constructive suggestions for the future publications of Aimpulse to make it more meaningful.
