Chandratal Blues is an exploration of the Upper Himalayas by the participants of Photosensitive's Photo-Trek Safari in June 2009. Twelve passionate photographers from various walks of life participated in the workshop and came back with peeled noses and a skillfully woven mosaic of images that capture the changing colors of the lake...the azure skies...the ruggedness of the mountains and the enchanting beauty of the tiny flora... For almost a week, the photographers roughed it out, trying to capture the bio diversity of the upper himalayas. Join us for the show of their intense exploration.
PhotoSensitive was started four years ago to bring about a synthesis in the way the eye sees and the way the mind interprets when looking through a camera...Professional photographers Shailan Parker and Joginder Singh had been teaching photography in various design schools across Delhi and wanted to take it to a larger audience. Weekend photography workshops were initiated to convey the nuances of photography through multimedia presentations, outdoor shoots and interactive picture reviews. But the photographers wanted to go beyond the limits of the city and reconnect with Nature. Photo-Treks were initiated. The urban landscape took a back seat for the week that participant’s of these workshops spent in tents and trudging up the mountain side. The above exhibition is the outcome of PhotoSensitive’s fifth annual trip into the mountains.
