Hi,

Once we have another great event happening as part of the film festival and want to invite your groups and people you work with to attend. The event on Thursday 12th March is all about exploring the issues that you all deal with dealy and the work of East Durham Trust by using Ken Loaches films I Daniel Blake and Sorry We Missed You. It is FREE to attend (suggested donation of £2 or a donation of food for the food bank) and there will be food provided at each event. The day is broken in to three screenings:

I Daniel Blake – aimed at 15+
11.30 – 3pm

Themed food, performance from Local Vocals – a new community choir, special performance from stand-up Rowan McCabe and make a food themed collage workshop – the top ten collages will be made into postcards and sent out in EDT’s food parcels over the next few weeks.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs – aimed at families
3pm-6pm
Themed food, performance from Local Vocals – a new community choir, and make a food themed collage workshop – the top ten collages will be made into postcards and sent out in EDT’s food parcels over the next few weeks.

Sorry We Missed You – aimed at 15+
6pm-9pm

Themed food, special guests from the movies will do a Q&A after the screening and make a food themed collage workshop – the top ten collages will be made into postcards and sent out in EDT’s food parcels over the next few weeks.

People are welcome to attend all 3 or just one. It would be great to get as many people along to this to shout about the issues faced in our communities and the work you all do! As always we can help groups who cannot afford to make their own way to the event we can support to get them to and from Haswell. If you do have a group interested please let me know so I can arrange transport. Please note I am on annual leave Friday 6th March and Monday 9th March so contact Jess, Faye or Cat (cc’d into this email) if you need any further information or wish to arrange transport.
