Hi everyone – hope you are all well and keeping safe.
Apologies if you are no longer a member of EDCT – but we are contacting people to ask if anyone has or knows where there is any curtain lining material and elastic which could be donated to a very worthwhile cause in our community.
A lady in Peterlee is coordinating the production of face masks to give out to care homes and other businesses who may need them in our area. She is collecting curtain lining material (then boiling and hygienically bagging it) and elastic then delivering it to volunteer machinists in the area who then sew the face masks.
We have dropped off some bags today but they need more.
If you can help or know of anyone who may have any suitable material please email me with the details and we will arrange to collect it to get it to her.
