Subject : Durham County Carers Support

Hope all is well with you and yours.

Just to say Durham County Carers Support are all working from home but other than not doing home visits, events, support groups, drop-ins and training it is business as usual. The numbers of Carers registering with our service did drop but now appears steady although not has high as it would usually be. We continue to offer support advice and information and like most other agencies are taking advantage of technology whilst being mindful that not everyone can access this. We now have a TAWK facility on our website which is proving useful for many Carers, our Facebook is regularly updated and we are all reaching out to our most vulnerable Carers. Our Counselling service capacity has been increased - we are offering sessions by phone and trialling Skype etc where possible.

As I said previously we are mindful that not everyone can access the internet and to this end we have recently produced a special newsletter which I have attached.

So if you could forward this email to your colleagues and encourage them to continue to refer to our service we would be really grateful - Referrals can be made by calling 0300 005 1213 or Email ad...@dccarers.org or by using the Freepost referral pads which you may still have. Alternatively people can call or email me direct.

Take care.

Kind regards,

Karen
