letter of renewal sent out!

Hello everyone,
We just sent our letter of renewal. It was an impressive report on activities and an ambitious and stimulating list of plans (we could share the letter if you would like to see it).
One thing to note, like a caveat: there will be a shrinking of the number of AILA networks, and/or mergers and our network has already reached its allowed life time (6 years). So our application for renewal depends on AILA’s new network design (they also have a new person in charge of the network design so new ideas and all).
In other words, this is done now and fingers crossed… if it gets re-approved, it will probably be the last official term for the network.
Great thanks to those of you who sent lists of publications and expressed support for the renewal. The lists were very useful for mapping latest research trends which we included in the letter, too.
The next post will be about the outcome of our application and then we’ll take it from there… 😊
