Dear Colleagues

I’m on the board of https://suprr.org/, an initiative started just after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The intention is to support the development of university press publishing in the country, and mitigate any illegitimate use of Ukrainian research (See Misuse of ISSNs Threaten Academic Integrity https://suprr.org/news/ )

 

We are working with a number of Ukrainian institutions, including the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and are organising training programmes in partnership with Oxford Brookes University. One of the key challenges we have identified is a lack of English in any capacity, particularly in the field of academic writing - which is limiting the opportunities for the international publishing of research from within Ukraine.

 

I would really appreciate an understanding of what initiatives EATAW is undertaking in Ukraine and exploring ways in which we may be able to collaborate with appropriate groups. I may be contacted at byron....@suprr.org or byron_...@icloud.com.
