Hi Folks,
I’m pleased to share the news that a new open-access book has been added to the WAC Clearinghouse (https://wacclearinghouse.org). This book appears in the International Exchanges on the Study of Writing book series, which is edited by Steven Fraiberg, Joan Mullin, Magnus Gustafsson, and Anna S. Habib.

Perspectives on Scholarly Writing for Publication: Within, Através y au-delà des Frontières "nas Américas"
Edited by James N. Corcoran, Caroline Payant, Simone Sarmento, Laura Colombo, Mario E. López-Gopar, Lorena Córdova-Hernández, and Fiona Patterson
This multilingual, multimodal edited collection includes contributions from emerging and established scholars who consider a wide range of issues related to scholarly writing for publication in diverse international contexts. The contributors—writing in Cree, English, French, Guadaloupean Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, and sometimes in multiple languages—report the results of empirical studies, consider the impact of pedagogical initiatives, and reflect upon the politics and practices of academic knowledge production and dissemination. Readers will find themselves adopting a reflexive stance as they consider critical questions underlying publishing across sociolinguistic and geographical contexts.
You can find the book at https://wacclearinghouse.org/books/international/plurilingual/. This book, like other books published by the Clearinghouse, will be available in a print edition from University Press of Colorado in the coming months. Thanks to James, Caroline, Simone, Laura, Mario, Lorena, and Fiona for their work on the book and for their decision to share it with us as an open-access publication. Thanks as well to the anonymous peer reviewers who contributed to its development. All the best,
Mike
