hi All,

The next Aiko-Gateway Build Day is on Saturday, 12th December.

This will be a day that focuses on building software and applications
for the Aiko-Gateway and Aiko-Nodes. Of course, assisting people to
complete their Aiko-Gateway to 100% is also important. There may also
be one or two people who are keen to build a new Aiko-Gateway, as
well.

I've created a Development Road Map page for the current work-in-
progress v0.2 ...

http://groups.google.com/group/aiko-platform/web/development-roadmap

... just to capture an overview of where development is likely to be
focused (subject to your feedback).

You can grab the latest from here ... http://github.com/geekscape/Aiko

The key goal is to get the Aiko to the point where you are able to
start developing and realizing application ideas using the platform /
devices that we've all put so much effort into.

Another consideration is getting ready for the LCA2010 Arduino mini-
conf and ensuring that there is good software support for the Pebble,
since it makes a great Aiko-Node. Before Christmas, we expect to have
100 Pebble PCBs and 60 sets of parts ... some of which have been
allocated for CCHS, etc.

Given that the next day (Sunday) is the CCHS BBQ, maybe we can create
something cool to take along :)

I hope that these "plans / suggestions" are along the lines that you
consider helpful. However, most important is that you're getting the
most out of your Aiko-Gateway ... let me know, if something else is
required.

hi All,

The Aiko-Gateway and Aiko-Node Build Day #2 is on tomorrow ...
Saturday, 12th December.

It'll run from roughly 10 am to 5 pm.

Focus will be on software development for the Aiko-Gateway and Aiko-
Node.
Of course, finishing off any hardware will also occur.

The new Pebble PCB has arrived from PCBCart (China) ... and a few
Pebbles have been built and are inter-operating with the Aiko-Gateway
over ZigBee quite nicely.

Hope to see you there.

I'll be there. I'll probably arrive a little after 10:00am but will need to depart around 2pm (child minding duties at home from 3pm).
Given the software focus, do we need additional tools? If so, I can bring Dremel/ Solder iron, etc.

I'll probably take the opportunity make a few hardware mod's to my Prototype Pebble (shifting the sensors away from the board).

See you then :)

Cheers,

Paul
