Hey all,

I'm FINALLY putting together the "step by step guide" for the Aiko-
Gateway construction from my experiences at the build day v0.1.

Just a clarification i need is:

When we added the serial header to the router main board, we bent one
of the pins straight, so instead of connecting to the power near the
header....we ran the wire over to a capacitor.

Why did we do this?
i remember something about power differences, but can't remember which
was which...

can anyone calrify this for me

Cheers
Justin

We run the wire over from the capacitor for 5V supply to the arduino.
The pin that we don't use was only 3 (3.3?) volts.

What Evan said is correct.

The power pin from the serial header is at 3.3V good for Zigbee, less so for 5V arduinos ( though there is a 3.3v version at 8MHz available).

Sam.
