Suppose that I want to be able to click a button on the web service,
and have this perform some action on the hardware, for example
activating a relay.

Does this functionality exist in the existing versions of the
SmartEnergyGroups - AikoGateway - AikoNode software chain?

Would this be hard to set up?

Hey Luke,

If you are running all the head revisions, and your device is
'switchable' then yes, the relay on pin whatever will turn on and off.

This is how I get internetz hot waterz and other things.

Yep... I thought this was already implemented; I just got confused for
a second there because the AikoGateway isn't known by SEG to be a
"switchable" device by default... but if you tell it that your device
is a Pebble, then it's considered switchable by default so SEG gives
you the big green win button.

If anyone would like the "win" switch button implemented on their thing, let me know what your thing is and it can "be done" ATM this is alpha functionality.

Sam.
