Dear senior faculty members and colleagues,

I would like to express my gratitude for the immense faith that you all have reposed on me. The huge participation in the process with more than 95% of eligible voters casting their choice in today's elections , truly reflects the desire and aspiration of faculty members.

I humbly accept the responsibility of general secretary and assure you that I shall strive that extra to mitigate our problems, uphold the dignity of faculty members and help in growth of the Institution.

 I would also congratulate all the faculty members who were candidates , irrespective of the outcome. It was their participation that ensured that the will of the faculty was truly reflected , rather than it being a mundane process with candidates being elected unopposed . I thank all the candidates for the same.I also congratulate all the winners and hope that we take all decisions for faculty welfare in a consensus manner.

Hope to start work officially as general secretary and meet everyone's expectations .

Dear colleagues,

Greetings !

THANK YOU , the elected representatives stand indebted .You have shown a maturity most becoming  and have chosen to articulate conclusively.

As we set about getting the house in order, given the composition of the new executive body,  let us be aware of the obvious -

a. The mandate  is a wish for change and that shall be the plank on which we work and execute .There will  not be a recourse to  old ways and designs which you have decided to dissociate with.

b. It is obvious that some of us are in without an election. It is the responsibility of each of us, elected or inducted without election to bow to the mandate of the electorate . If the body faces impediments in executing the  mandate of the electorate - by democratic principles, we shall get back to you for your say . This will be vital in activities of the body.

As in such organisations, the   general secretary will steer our activities and as an executive com member , I shall work for the aspirations of the faculty.
