Dear aiida users,

as you may know, codes in aiida may be 'local' or 'remote'.

This distinction has caused a lot of confusion in the past. We now have a suggestion to make things more clear [1]), but we are also considering to remove the 'local' code feature entirely (it would simplify the treatment of codes in aiida).

Thus my question to you: Are you currently using 'local' codes and, if yes, would it be a problem to switch to a 'remote' code?
