Robin
Thankyou for your eMail.
Rebecca
Leam and I have corresponded intermittently, and I think I offered to
be a local rep. but there didn't seem to be much call for one (only
about 8 exAiglon NZers, I gather), so I am not sure what extra purpose I
can fulfil. I attach the eMail thread below (after the copy of your
eMail).
As regards the Oz Nov. meet, I won't be able to make that
(again!) but will "pass it on". I expect to be in Thailand at that
time, but things may change. Good luck for the event in any case.
Hope all is well with you.

Iain Barraclough

Subject: Hi Iain
Time: 3/06/2003 at 12:51p.m.Dear Iain,
G'day.
Understand from Rebecca Leam that you have consented to act as Aiglon
rep in NZ! Good on you, and hopefully this means that we will see you
more frequently than we have in the past few years.
We are
planning a Reunion in Sydney in mid Nov to coincide with World Cup Rugby
(ouch, sorry about that...) and a visit by Norman Drummond, the Aiglon
Chairman of the Board, and the likelihood of other Aiglon visitors at
that time. Our intention is to book a boat on Sydney Harbour, we did
this once before and it was a great success! Will confirm when we
actually have a booking (or alternative arrangement).
Cath and I
were in Auckland for the Louis Vuitton Challenger Series in Nov, our
nephew James Spithill was the helmsman for Oneworld. It was a lot of fun
and we really enjoyed Auckland and environs. An Aiglon girl was on the
Alinghi team, read that only recently.
I have asked Rebecca for
an update on alumni records in Australia (and New Zealand). I will have a
team of people helping me to update records of about 45 alumni here,
and it would probably be worthwhile you doing the same if you haven't
already done so. We would like to extend invites to the Reunion in
Sydney to NZ alumni, it would be great to have some representatives join
us. Reunions are always great fun, well worth the effort/expense.
Hoep to catch up soon.
Best regards,
Robin

Thankyou for your eMail, and for sending the DVD.
I very occasionally get to see the Ozzie Alumni, and the NZ ones never, so far!.
Iain.
