I have just visited the Wikipedia entry, where I performed these
tasks:
(a) removed about 7 separate pieces of vandalism, and restored the
correct text.

(b) updated the "Index of Corlette and Aiglon-related links" to
reflect the latest picture as per here:
http://knol.google.com/k/slartibartfarst-anon/aiglon-college/

(c) Left this note under the "index" heading: (though it will probably
be removed by Wikipedia's faceless controlling editors)
"Please note that, due to this Wikipedia entry having been subjected
to vandalism and haphazard changes over a prolonged period, the most
reliable independent, current and comprehensive version of this
Wikipedia entry and of this Index (and which are not subject to
vandalism), are being maintained at the Google knol for Aiglon College
(see link below). If you know of any changes or new links, then please
leave your comments at that knol or request that you become an author
for the knol. (Thankyou.)"

Having put quite a substantial effort into building the Wikipedia
entry, I have come to realise the futility of trying to keep its
correctness intact in the face of the moronic, haphazard changes and
vandalism that it has been subjected to - mostly by external
individuals, but sometimes by "official" Wikipedia editors. This was
in the back of my mind when I created the knols for Aiglon and
Corlette - those at least are within our control. (Though more
volunteer authors required please!)

As I do not really have the time or inclination to keep cleaning up
that Wikipedia entry any more, it was with a sense of relief that I
decided today to therefore just "let go" and ignore it from this point
on. It can go to the dogs now, for all I care.

Ahww, I thought it was a fruitful activity, but clearly not if it
requires so much maintenance. Where do people find all the time?

Hi Iain, I'm finally getting some time back together and am monitoring
hundreds of email. Again, where do all these people find the time?
And I only know you as an ex -Aiglonian that I've never met.

Anyway, I hope this holiday season turns out well for all of us.

Best Personal Regards, John
