Like, may be you guys ask us to go some place then we meet you there then you guys bring us to our destination.

Guys:

 

Applying Government document(invitation letter) process in Taiwan is following:

 

1.      Collect document from EP

2.      Use EP info apply AIESEC MC letter

3.      Apply Government letter

 

So I’m very sorry about our slowly document applying

 

And we have some other solution provide here:

 

1.      applying tourism visa to Taiwan
àit’s allowed, coz other NPO use tourism visa accept abroad volunteer

2.      applying 30 days visa and change visa during the intern period
àI will call the government to do the double check it’s ok or not, coz MT and TT can do this

 

 

and  I think my member they are very hard-working to do things for you

 

please forgive us, we already send documents, but we haven’t receive any response.

 

This Tue(tomorrow ) we will tell you the exactly school and host family

I already asked the Taiwan Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. They said that I cannot apply the tourism and must get the Government

 

Letter in order to apply Visas. So, I think I have to wait for the Governmaent Letter. Hope to hearing your news soon.

HI guys, I'm from the Philippines. I applied for 30-day visa because Caesar said that would be easier for us to apply for it. They will be the one to extend it if the 30-day visa will be expired while doing the internship. Maybe you can try to ask and search options on how to get visa easily that is not requiring Government Letter. I am expecting to arrive in Taiwan on April 14 because I'm hoping to get my visa on Monday because I just passed the requirements today. I hope to see you guys there! Anyways, I'm always online so we can get in touch about our upcoming internship!

Hi Genre!

That is actually a good idea, but for safety, I actually refer a working permit from their Country rather than just using a tourist visa. If the government caught us working without permit, I afraid we will be in a lot of trouble. Although they said we can apply it during the internship, I think it will be better for us to get it before the internship. If we really can't get it, then we will use the tourist visa first. After that, then we apply for it. Another thing I am concerning about is what if during the internship, their government doesn't approve our application?

My friend from OGX said we can ask travel agent to apply for us. I will just ask the agent to do it for me. From what I heard, it will take around 2 weeks. But the first thing is, I have to get the invitation letter first. Without the invitation letter, I can't do anything.

After getting it, I will go to the agent and ask them how long it really need to apply visa for us. If the timeline cannot match, then, what to do, go there first, then apply there.

If the government doesn't allow to apply, then what to do, I think we have to do border run.

Depends on the situation.

Hi guys!

Thanks for your concerns about the 30-day visa. Actually the 30-day visa doesn't generally mean "tourist visa" it is also a "visit visa" wherein you can do the things concerning your travel to Taiwan. Actually I ask them if I can just declare in the Acceptance Note that I will just do my internship in Taiwan for 30 days and they said OK. Because it would be easier for me to apply for a 30-day visa. Also, by giving them the documents regarding the internship abroad is informing them that we are going to do internship. I also wrote in the application form that I will do an internship.

All in all, we are safe to do our internships there if the visas will be granted. By passing all the necessary documents about it then we are safe. I also read that an internship is like volunteering not necessarily working as a professional because like me a DT EP I will not be paid throughout the internship.

I really need the letter from the Gov. tonight! My visa is pending right now because they are asking for the Gov. letter. Please Caesar prioritize me for this letter. I already exerted effort, time and money for this visa so PLEASE PLEASE send me the letter tonight.

It will cost me a lot if I will not be able to fly on April 14 because I already have my plane ticket! The ticket is non-refundable that is why I am very worried about my flight. Please Caesar do your best so that you can send the Gov. letter tonight.

I just sent you a message because I want you to know that I feel worried and depressed. It is because of the Gov. letter that you still haven't sent to me.

Again, I already exerted effort, time, and money applying for that visa but still the Consul is not granting it yet because I have to pass the Gov. Letter from Taiwan. I already came there 5 times asking and inquiring about getting the visa and traveling 2 hours from my house to their office. I am sending you messages about when I can get the Gov. letter from you but still uncertain with you answers.

Guys, I already showed my effort by doing these acts but just disappointed on how this problem is not yet answered. It is because why did it take you 3 weeks and counting to get the Gov. letter for me. I sent you all the necessary documents of mine so that it will be faster to get my letter. As far as I  know, your government there works very fast that is why I don't know why until now you haven't got the letter.

I know that your LC is working very hard but I hope you are also doing your best to accommodate our needs in having a visa. I am losing my hope to get it because of the time I've been waiting for the letter. I feel worried and depressed since I don't feel you are doing your best to get it.

Please don't take it negatively because what I only want is urgent response like the other EPs from Malaysia who are also struggling to get that visa from their home country but still need the Gov. letter from you.

Hi Constance! It is sad to say that I didn't receive the Gov. letter from the MC VP ICX today. Now I am losing hope if I should continue to wait for that letter. Please tell them what I should do because I am running out of time now. I even don't know if I should continue my internship because of what's happening. I've been calling Caesar and the MC VP ICX but they are not answering my calls. I will ask our VP ICX here in the Philippines if he can talk to your LC about my situation because our VP ICX is also worried about my situation.

Please tell them do understand my situation. Please tell them do reply to my messages and answer my calls. I already exerted my resources in order to get answers from them but I think it's useless to do it. It is because I am not getting any urgent response.

I turned down different TNs for this internship because I trust your LC that you can attend on our visa related needs urgently.
I hope you can exchange my trust through positive and urgent response about this matter. I took your government's slow action into consideration but still wasted of the last 3 weeks that I've been waiting for it and still counting of the days hoping to get that letter from your LC. I know I've been impatient but I think I'm on the right point because I know I did my best to send you all my personal documents during the last few weeks of March so that I can get the Gov. letter from you on the first week of April.

Again, we are busy individuals but I always prioritize my activities regarding this visa application. I canceled meetings, assemblies and even my classes in order for me to come to the Consul asking and inquiring about the visa. Now, I sleep late because I wait for Caesar to be on line and for my messages to be replied by him. I PRIORITIZE AND EXERTED EFFORT which I hope you do also.

I don't mean anything I just hope AGAIN URGENT RESPONSE. WE should take our promises as responsible individuals.

Hi genre!

Well, I actually think of applying tourist visa in stead of internship visa. because tourist visa only need an invitation letter from Ceasar (not gov letter from government). It also can help you stay in taiwan for more than 1 month. so, if you are ok for that, i think choosing to apply tourist visa is a better option. but just to make sure you know, using tourist visa to do internship has its risk. if you are willing to take the risk, i suggest you to ask caesar to write the invitation letter for you.

but of course, you need to ask your LC or anyone who know about visa stuff. because we are from different country. so, procedure might be different.

and for the case of my friend, i misunderstood my friend getting the gov letter. it is actually an invitation letter from another LC (not Gov letter). for that, i want to apologize for what i said in my last email to Caesar.

Coz other NPO in Taiwan they also ask for their people to apply Tourism in Taiwan

But if I will be going to change my application from 30-day internship visa to tourist visa then they will think I'm lying because I'm changing the purpose of my visit. Right now, I'm in a tight situation because I already passed all the documents pertaining to that internship visa like the AN coming from you, Caesar, but what the Consul wants is the Government letter or the letter from your Ministry of Education. Before I get my passport and visa I have to give the letter first that is the only document they are asking for in order for my visa to be granted.

It will be hassle for me to change my purpose of stay in Taiwan because they already checked me as an applicant for an internship visa not for tourist visa. The Consul here has a very strict rules that is why I need the letter now. The VP OGX here in the Philippines is asking your cooperation about this matter. He said that you should help me with this so that I can start my internship.

Again, I cannot change my visa application and the only solution is give the letter to me because the Consul is requesting it from you.

In addition to what I said before, as far as legality is concerned, I want to do my internship there as legal as possible and worry-free because of the problems that I will encounter if ever I will do my internship having only a tourist visa instead of an internship visa.

I don't want to be in that tight situation being an "illegal worker" as what my friends said if I will do it. I want to be a legal intern with a legal visa to do my internship. I want to be safe while I'm doing it because that is what I should feel.

Again, the VP OGX in my LC will talk to you if until tomorrow you cannot send the letter to me. He is also worried of what is happening and hoping that you will help me with this problem. Also, he said please reply to my e-mails because he wants to know what actions you are doing to help me. The VP OGX always asks me what are your replies about the letter in order for him to know my current situation that is why I really need your reply ASAP. I'm very aggressive now in getting the letter from you because the VP OGX told me that I have to do it. I know you also have problems and you are busy but I was tasked by the VP OGX to send you e-mail about my letter. I hope you understand.

Tonight, I'm going to report to the VP OGX  about my situation.

my agent called the taiwan embassy and they said for AIESEC, only the
government letter can apply visa.
tourism visa is not allowed if our internship is more than 60 days.
the tourism visa only for EXACTLY 60 days.if more than 60 days then
will be block by custom in taiwan.
for tourism visa, we must have some relatives in taiwan and use their
doc to prove only can apply.
so pls check before u want to apply tourism visa.

So, AIESECer apply visa to taiwan must need the GOVERNMENT LETTER
this the only way....
