I am Calcium Zhang, VP of Incoming Exchange in AIESEC SWUFE, Chengdu, Sichuan province, Mainland of China.
I have an amazing project! -----------“This Is China”, which is based on the topic of cultural exchanges and protection!
u Our project plan:
(Our project is basically divided into 3 parts).
Part 1: Designing, chairing and participating in many theme-activities in a NGO club called Treehouse (Jan.31st, 2013--Feb.8 th,2013)
You will do things as follows:
Ø Share your experiences in the form of speech.
Ø Talk about and learn about arts, literature, photography, movies and so on.
Ø Design some activities on your own and then hold them.
Ø Teaching others something you are good at.
Part 2: Living in your homestay and experiencing the Spring Festival (Feb.9 th, 2013--Feb.15 th, 2013)
You will live with local families and be accommodated by the families.They will enjoy the most grand festival ----the spring festival a lot !
Part 3 : Exploring more in Chengdu (Feb.16th,2013--Feb.22 nd,2013)
We will show you many other historical Chinese culture and cultural sites here.
You can get an unforgettable experience about China and Chinese Culture !
u Related Cost Explanation:
In part 1:
Accommodation is free, but the cost of food and transportation, tickets to places of interest should be covered by yourself.
In part 2 and in part 3:
Board and lodging is free, but the cost of food you eat out of our project, the cost of transportation, tickets to places of interest should be covered by yourself.
u A brief introduction to Chengdu:
ØChengdu, where AIESEC SWUFE is located , is the capital of Sichuan Province. It’sthe southwest technology center, business center, financial center and hub of transportation and communication.
Ø Chengdu is a famous scenic region with historical culture for tourists in China, characterized by the ancient culture of the Shu Kingdom during the Three Kingdom Period at the end of the Han Dynasty.
Ø Chengdu is the birthplace of the tea culture and a major tea base of China with the largest number of tea houses in the world.
ØSichuan Opera, highly-reputed in the whole country for its strong local characteristics, absorbs the essence from other operas to enrich and improve itself all the time.
ØSichuan food, being one of the four major Chinese cuisines and with over 3000 varieties and hundreds of representative dishes, is widely enjoyed throughout china .
Ø Chengdu snacks are well-known for their low price, excellent appearance and taste and exquisite shape.
Ø Sichuan is the home of panda.
