Job/Task Description 1 |
The trainee will work in the National SIG Project, a partership between Módula Software and AIESEC Brazil which has the goal of revolutionaze the work process (mainly financial) of AIESEC in Brazil through implementing AIESEC needs in our multi-tiered Enterprise Business Management system (SIG). |

Interact with the National and TNA SIG Responsibles and other AIESEC Brazil leaders to define requirements, find solutions, give consultancy for system customization and so on. |

Perform tasks according to our methodology, which is based on Agile methodologies like XP and Scrum. |

Measurable results expected from the intern |
1) Tasks should have been completed in the expected time (which is defined by the coordinator in conjunction with the trainee); 2) Code developed should meet the requirements, be elegant, documented as needed and should not contain bugs. 3) All LCs and AIESEC Brazil (TNA, NFT, etc) process should be dramatically improved by SIG new features. |

Key learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship |
- Huge increase in professional/personal skills due to our specific training methodology, greatly increasing self knowlege, affecting neally all skills (communication, fast thinking, thought organization, development skills, ...) (Previous trainees will surelly confirm that); - Acquire experience in taking responsability and working in a big and ambitious project in a national wide level. - Acquire deep knowledge about AIESEC Brazil financial/communication processes. - Improve self knownledge, logical thought, problem resolution and decision making skills. - Acquire knowledge on Financial processes, including Accounting and Business Management, both theoretical and practical; - Acquire Knowledge on Communication/CRM/Workflow processes. - Acquire theoretical/practical knowledge and development experience of optimal multi tier architectures, including inners of middleware frameworks and related technology (TCP/IP, Http, LAN, WAN, firewalls, Etc.); - Acquire strong experience on Object Orientation programming, both theoretical and practical; - Acquire advanced knowledge and experience with Delphi; - Acquire experience in working with databases (mainly PostgreSQL), mostly as designer and developer; Acquire experience in creating optimal SQL queries; - Acquire practical experience in software development using Agile methodologies and tools; - Acquire technical Portuguese language skills; - Other Learnings common to a traineeship abroad: culture, personal development, general knowledge, etc. |

No specific preparation. AIESEC cultural preparation is recommended though. |

Additional information which a potential candidate may require for the internship |
The trainee will join the SIG National Projects team, which is composed by Modula's coordinator/director, AIESEC Brazil responsibles and currently 2 AIESEC trainees (Delphi developers). In this new fase of the project, Modula and AIESEC Brazil are investing heavy by opening more 4 Delphi development, 2 Java Web develpment and 1 Designer vacancies. The team will keep working in the development area located at company headquarters in Florianópolis. Trainee will be given required training on our methodology, development tools, Object Orientation, and Software Engineering, and will be coached personally by the manager of the Software Development Area, who is also an AIESEC alumni and a former trainee in India and have already coordinated many AIESEC trainees (besides other teams). Modula supplies a very friendly and international atmosphere (including other Aiesec trainees), with flexible working hours. The regular payment is R$ 1500,00 (Brazil currency). According to trainee’s performance we also may give extra paymento for food/transportation and may extra bonus for excellent performance. The most important requirement is that the candidate should be able to create good quality programs using Delphi and Object Orientation. Therefore, knowledge of Object Oriented modeling/programming is a must, while prior good experience with Delphi is preferred but not required. Besides, practical knowledge of databases (any) and SQL is required. Candidates detaining knowledge on any of the items bellow have extra points in the selection process (once again, these points are not required): - Practical knowledge of Software Development Methodologies (XP, Scrum, SPICE, CMMI, etc) - Prior work experience as DBA; - Experience in developing/using Accounting/ERP/CRM applications; - Background in Accounting/Finance; - Advanced knowledge on PostgreSQL server side programming and administration; - Administration/software development knowledge on Linux or Unix; We expect the trainee to be committed with the company goals, working with responsibility and having quality as a principle. We are looking for a proactive person who is willing to learn and to help us to develop quality products while having this experience abroad. Finally, the company is open to opportunities of future partnership with the trainees or to extend the traineeship to another level if both parts are satisfied by the end of the traineeship period, including the possibility to become company's representative abroad. |
