Hi! My name is Julia. I'm an ICXer in LC Tomsk (Russia). I want to invite your EPs to take part in our summer 2012 project. They will have a unique chance to learn more about Russian culture, to gain new experience and at the same time enjoy working with children summer camps. 

 

SunShine 2012

SunShine is a Russian national project realized particularly in Tomsk, one of the most beautiful towns of the country. The main aim of the project is to give an opportunity to young people from all over the world to realize their energy and talents by working with children in different summer educational camps of Tomsk region. 

 

About Tomsk:

·        Tomsk was founded in 1604. It is one of the ancient towns of Russia.

·        Due to its charming architecture Tomsk is often called “Siberian Athens”.

·        Tomsk is one of the educational centers recognized not only in Russia but all over the world.

·        There are 9 Universities. Most famous of them Tomsk State University (was opened in 1878) and Tomsk Polytechnic University (was opened in 1900) are acknowledged by UNESCO as extremely valuable objects of national heritage.

·        Students from different countries such as China, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland and Former Soviet Union study in our Universities.

·        Population: 508 000 inhabitants, 110 000 students!!!

·         Tomsk is unique monument of architecture. Here you can find a great number of houses, which represent Russian architectonics, art nouveau, Siberian baroque and classicism (you can see that here http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=tomsk).

Exchange Participant's profile:

·        Excellent English (required)

·        Ability and wish to work with children

·        Facilitating and Presentation skills (preferred)

·        Cultural Education

Internship duration: 6 - 8 weeks.

 

Realization period:

Earliest starting date: 1.07.2012

Latest ending date: 31.08.2012
