Harbin, City of bygone glory. | |
Harbin is the capital and largest city of Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China,Harbin is originally a Manchu word meaning "a place for drying fishing nets." It is known for its bitterly cold winters and is often called the "Ice City." Lying on the southern bank of the Songhua River, Harbin is well known for its beautiful ice sculptures in winter and its Russian legacy and still plays an important part in Sino-Russian trade today.

Local Attractions 1: Hagia Sophia: Hagia Sophia is located in Harbin City, in the Far East is the largest Orthodox Church, a height of 53.35meters, covers an area of 721 square meters, is a typical representative of Byzantine architecture.

Local Attractions 2:Songhua River: Songhua River river is the largest tributary of Heilongjiang, northeast of large arteries, itself also has two main tributaries. There is a tourist area on the both banks of the river, and a monument at the end of the central revenue.
