Hello Everyone!Hope you guys are doing great. We are writing this email to all our partner countries to address the issue of safety in India currently , especially when it comes to female EP's because of the recent events that you might be aware and apprehensive about. This is just an overview of the initiatives we are taking and more details are being given to the exchangers on your teams.I hope this helps remove any apprehension about the safety of your EP's while they are in India and feel free to get in touch with me if there are any doubts. Please spread the word to your LC's as well.
According to the Minimum Quality Promise Document, AIESEC India promises to provide :
- An IS platform offering preparation and integration information, over-all & LC wise [here] . Induction webinars for matched EPs will be held at the end of every month that will also cover security measures for the EPs.*
- Contact information of relevant AIESECers (LCPs and LC VPs responsible for exchange) of the hosting LC.
- A pickup or an alternate arrangement through an outsourced company, provided that the trainee doesn’t arrive un-informed or during the hours of 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM IST. At such a time the trainee is advised to wait at the airport till 6:00 AM.
*An induction video will also be made available soon for easy reference.Other measures:- The EPs can refer to the link for assistance from the nearest police station in their city : http://www.indiamapped.com/police-stations-in-india/. This information will be provided to all matched EPs.
- All EPs are requested to call their TN Managers as soon as they are picked up from the airport upon arrival to confirm they have met their EP buddy/pickup responsible and are travelling with the right person.We are doing all we can to ensure safety of your EP's.
