Dear MC VP Xs,

We'r back with another update and we'd touching upon some of the recent update and activities since the last email. The main topics to be covered are:

System Speed & Stability
Over the course of the last week, we've seen considerable improvement in the speed of the System and hopefully you have experienced it too. The changes is attributed to a) The system usage settling down into a pattern, b) Code optimization from TCS's side, c) Modification in some of the Functionality.

We will continue to work on this front further and I've already shared with you all details of the Server Restructure project that we are undergoing during this Quarter.

Bugs & System Changes
Our focus over the last couple of days has been on the Org Goals Menu and the Browse Internship Menu largely, with a few other Menus and everyday bugs. The major updates concerning your area are:

1. Hyperlinks in the Ranking Report - now you can see the data behind the Realizations and grab more information and actually cross check some of the numbers (if you had any doubts). We'r currently monitoring the data on the TMP & TLP front as we see potential coding changes in how the data is measure once we are able to analyse the data with Countries.

2. Browse Internships - we had realized over the course of the last week that some of the categories were not working as required (e.g. selecting languages was not having any affect on the data that was coming out as results). We've fixed these bugs and now it is working as it should! So please do go ahead and test it out. Just a note on this front that all the Relationships within & between Categories are OR. (e.g if you select Database Management as a background & German as language then it will show 3 kinds of results : a) Ones that have German, b) Ones that have Database Management and c) Ones that have both).

Upcoming Changes
While we focus on improving the existing Menu, we are looking forward to some changes in the following areas in the coming days (this is just a small list of things we are doing so please rest assured it is not the only things we are working on).

1. 2nd level hyperlinks in Supply & Demand Management
2. Making Supply & Demand Management available to GIP & GCDP Menus
3. Adding Search by Type within Browse Internships Menu
4. Adding Search by Issues/Industry within Browse Internships Menu
5. Adding Status within Ranking Report

We would like to give you a timeline but we are very cautious about this just because we have too many parallel things, projects and initiatives happening on the IT front and we cannot fully anticipate all the challenges in creation of some of the functionality. We'd keep you posted as changes happen and till then if you have questions then you can always drop a note at muske...@ai.aiesec.org

Education & Training
Last week we ran some trainings for different segments of the Network and this week we'd release the schedule in the upcoming Newsletter of other activities. Currently we are working on building offline documents of Menus & Functional Tasks on the system so you can download them, print them and keep it in your offices and by your desk to go through them while working. We should have drafts ready by the end of the week. Besides this we are working having a special Webinar for MC VP IMs to support them on more extensive knowledge and working of the System and also help them build Education Campaigns for it. Please do support them and encourage your MC to run your own MyAIESEC.net education Campaigns.

Understand that 2015 is the change we are facing, not just a new IT System. So you must take initiative in running such Educational Campaigns by yourself as an entity just like you are running your own GIP, GCDP Campaigns and Competitions. Please do keep this as your priority for the upcoming months but also make sure that it is part of the entire MC's priority - education around the System.

Finally a closing note is that besides doing System education it is imperative that you also take forward 2015 Education within your LCs & MCs - over the course of the last 1 month we've found countless questions from people asking about "Where is MT", "What is GIP", "Where is the AIESEC Experience", "Why can't I apply for TR Stage", etc. - there are tons of resources created and shared and there is no reason why each Member on the ground in AIESEC shouldn't be aware about 2015 and new direction.

The links for the Trainings conducted last week can be found below (please do take time and go through them!):

"Hot Topics"
I've kept this segment specifically for you guys (MC VP Xs) to share with you a list of topics you can approachmuske...@ai.aiesec.org for more information - some of the are bugs, some others are not but it is something that keeps coming up.

As usual, if you have any questions then please feel free to drop in an email at muske...@ai.aiesec.org or in urgent situations you could just approach the AI Team directly.
