Job Description
Department the intern will be working Sales & Marketing
Job Description1• Identify customers, create opportunities, work deals with the regional Business Development team and close profitable orders to meet and exceed Calnex’s order target. • Develop knowledge in Calnex’s areas of expertise, namely Synchronisation in Packet Networks and Ethernet OAM • Develop relationships with Calnex’s channel partners. Ensure the partners are trained to successfully sell Calnex’s solutions
Job Description2 • Provide the technical support (in person or remotely) for customer trials and evaluations • Develop the pre-sales and training plan with the regional Business Development Manager.
Job Description3• Develop and contribute towards technical collateral (Application Notes, White Papers, Test Reports) • Maintain a record/database of customers and contacts
Job Description4• Support sales meetings with customers. • Represent the company at promotional events e.g. exhibitions, trade-shows, conferences. and organise associated Calnex presentational materials.
Job Description5 • Actively seek out evaluation opportunities at customer sites. • Input market and customer feedback into Calnex and be actively involved in development and roadmap discussions and decisions.
Job Description6• Manage customer commitments – drive towards the objective of delivering what the customer needs by close interaction with the customers & agreeing targets with the Calnex Engineering team.
Measurable results expected from the intern 1) The intern is able to deliver a Calnex product presentation and answer questions 2) The intern is able to demonstrate Calnex's product and answer questions 3)The intern has agreed a future development and tactical plan with their manager

昨天刚面完这个TN,面试官是他们亚太地区的总监Albert,和他大概聊了一下公司的大致情况和这个职位的具体要求。
简单介绍一下这个TN 的情况,Calnex是一家专业的有一百多年历史,为以太网和分组传输提供测试以及解决方案的公司,
总部在爱丁堡,在大陆区和华为,中兴,三大运营商都有合作。
Albert希望找到一名,有通信工程和应用物理背景(比较看重绩点),具有较强的sales能力和学习能力,并且在回国之后继续在国内发展其业务,可以独当一面的员工(fulltime),主要负责的地区是上海以及南京(目前此地区没有其他人负责)。
而在爱丁堡的三个月internship呢,最主要的内容是与产品有关的培训,让实习生能够掌握Ethernet/IP • SDH/SONET, Synchronisation等技术,(JD最后一栏)
Albert说,即使你并没有学会太多通信方面的知识,但是只要你觉得你有快速学习,迅速掌握新知识的能力就可以了,因为技术是日新月异的,有能力,不怕技术的更新。

优点:起点比较高,但是发展前景很好。
缺点:要求实习生的个人能力较强, 责任比较大,不会很轻松。
