Below is a description of the Traineeships on -THE PINK PROJECT
This is a project centred on creating awareness on the cancer menace
in our society laying emphasis on cervical, breast and lung cancers.
We preach that regular check-ups and early detection is the key to
fighting this monstrous disease.
The name “pink project” was inspired by the globally acknowledged WHO
cancer symbol which is pink in colour. The project is the pet project
of the projects development team of AIESEC in Port Harcourt 2012.
It is the projects second outing and its target audience is the
entire community of the University of Port Harcourt.
Partnering with a number of health-related Non-Governmental
Organisations around the country and a highly experienced board of
experts, this project promises to create a very huge impact in the
lives of the students of the University of Port Harcourt.
The pink project is billed to kick-off at the onset of the summer
months(JUNE/JULY)and is scheduled to run for a period of 6weeks
consisting of intensive learning from very respectable resource
persons, delivering the project and 1week of cancer campaign walk. The
cancer awareness campaign walk will encompass every nook and cranny of
the university environment.
Leadership opportunities are open to exchange participants from all
around the world for both the planning and the implementation stages
of the project.
WHY COME TO AIESEC PORT HARCOURT FOR YOUR INTERNSHIP THIS SUMMER?
· Your Accommodation will be provided at no cost during your internship.
· Feeding will be free during the course of your internship.
