Editor's Pick

Looking back at the 11 months which separate us from the moment we first entered the MC office until now when these words are being written we can say it’s been probably the most intense experience of our lives, like a roller coaster ride. We have been part of amazing achievements by setting new trends in terms of LC coaching systems, country development and implementing national projects.

MC teamAs we write the last chapters of our story we are proud to see that we live an AIESEC Dominican Republic which is achieving together with its Alumni, trainees and members, its destiny of going beyond expectations.

This year we have managed to

DREAM BIG AND GO BEYOND EXPECTATIONS !!!

together with AIESEC in Dominican Republic, to bring excitement about growth and delivering exchange performance, connecting, aligning and synergizing the national network.

This month, we had started the national transition and the MC team is working full power to ensure a good start to the MC team 2011-2012.

Thank you for this amazing journey!

2. Recognition

This month has brought us new events, new results, new discoveries. The EB teams started to work independently, the members who just joined got more involved and we all are getting close and close to One United AIESEC DR vision.

We want to say special thanks to Jose Maria Costa for being a great support for the members of PUCMM extension. Thank you, Jose for showing such commitment, for providing the best opportunities for your members and for the proactive approach!

Also we want to recognize the work of Raizel Brito – developing the communication area in Santiago is challenging work! Thank you, Raizel for finding the innovative ways and for being active part of local and national initiatives!

The last but not the least person that we want to recognize is Laura Peña from LC UNAPEC. Thank you, Laura, for being so punctual and for participating so actively in the LC activities and fulfilling all the plans in time.

We are happy to congratulate these members and we are sure that each and every one of you deserves the recognition for the incredible work that One United AIESEC DR is doing!

Exchange growth

Exchange Rocks more than ever!!!
After 11 months of the term, AIESEC Dominican Republic managed to reach a 30% increase in the realizations of the global internships program it has offered to its members and to its partners.

Incoming exchange department successfully re-signed 2 MT TNs with Horwath Sotero Pralta & Asociados, one of our National Partners, and we are proud to announce that both of the TN forms are already matched and the trainees will join the big family of AIESEC Dominican Republic in June.

On the other side, in the experiences provided in outgoing exchange, 11 amazing members are searching for their professional opportunities! This is a hot matching time, considering that at least 6 of them want to realize their internship in June. So, let’s match!!!

And more good news: we are very happy to announce that Hildalina from AIESEC PUCMM Santiago got matched with AIESEC India! We wish her to have a great experience!

Functional areas

1. Exchange and External Relations department

Sales!!! Sales!!! Sales!!!

In the External Relations department, we are preparing our members to start the new Sales Campaign. Our LCs already started to contact companies and soon we will expect results and future partnerships. Regarding the awards for the Sales Campaign, for this month unfortunately we don´t have the ER member of the month for any of the local committees, but we hope that the next month we will see the results that we are expecting.

Incoming Exchange

Exchange Rocks!!!

Incoming exchange department successfully re-signed 2 MT TNs with Horwath Sotero Pralta & Asociados, one of our National Partners, and we are proud to announce that both of the TN forms are already matched and the trainees will join the big family of AIESEC Dominican Republic in June. We also have 2 Educational and 1 Technical internships available on the platform and we hope we will match the following month.

Outgoing Exchange

Exchange Rocks!!!

Wow, this month the department was very active!

The applications for ongoing recruitment brought the results, people are calling to the office, they are asking about exchange in the universities, and we already had 4 interviews! Seems that in the beginning of June we will have EP forms raised in each of the LCs!

And more than that: in June 2 LCs are having the EP recruitment. Are you ready to change people’s lives? Are you ready to give them the opportunity to live the experience of their dreams?

Then let’s do it together! Participate in EP recruitment in June!

So share this link with your friends and let’s rock!

2. Talent Management and LC Development department

Trainings and development:
Check above about the new initiative for the trainers in the country and become the Ultimate certified trainer!!

Mentorship:
Finally – all the members who decided to participate in the program have their mentors! If you are part of this program, we hope you are ready to learn and take the best out of the experience of the wiser people. Be active with your mentors and share the knowledge with your teammates!

Recruitment:
UNAPEC Santo Domingo and PUCMM Santiago are having recruitment at the beginning of June!! Yey! We really believe in them and we are sure they will recruit the best members ever! Let’s show to the universities and their students what AIESEC is!

3. Finance department

This area has been working with the conclusion of the external audit, this being a part of the membership criteria for AIESEC International. Also we have presented the documents required in ONAPI to change our trademark, the documents have been accepted and they are waiting to be finally published at national level. At local level we are changing the local bank accounts in order to give our entities more independence and allow them to control their own resources.

Go FINANCE!

LC updates
The most important activity run by our 2 LCs and official extension, as we already mentioned, is Spring Recruitment. We are expecting great results from you!

Santo Domingo UNAPEC:
Recruitment preparation is going on – the members are expanding and the recruitment initiatives will happen not only in PUCMM, but in UTESA and la UAS too! June will be a hot month and in July the Local Summer Conference is planned!

PUCMM Santiago:
It is recruitment time! It is time to bring new members in the organization! It is time to grow! LC UNAPEC started the approach to the new universities, as well! In June we expect a big growth for the LC and we hope to see a lot of new students enjoying their AIESEC experience!

Extension PUCMM Santo Domingo:
The new members were allocated in areas and the training processes are almost over. They are ready to rock! A big initiative is being prepared – the conference with PwC and PUCMM is going to engage the brightest leaders of the university and show to the students what AIESEC is capable of.
