We are very proud to say that April was the month when the future year of AIESEC Dominican Republic was built.

At national level, after the entire MC team was selected, the departments responsible were defined and the first steps of defining the next year were made.

At local level, after the EB teams were selected, the building of the year plans took place. We are very happy to announce that both LCs as well as the official extension have almost finished their year plan and that each of them have now EB teams composed out: president, vice president of exchange, vice president of external relations, vice president of communication, vice president of talent management, and responsible for finances.

For the following month, we can tell you that the transition of national level will start and out members will start receiving more specialized Functional area preparation, in order to them to start the new term at full power and fully prepared. But until then, we still want to

DREAM BIG AND GO BEYOND EXPECTATIONS WITH

Success stories

1. Good case practices

Induction conference

On the 9th of April the Induction conference took place. It was a conference for the new members and exchange participants of the PUCMM Santo Domingo Extension and for the Exchange participants of all the LCs. This was the first National conference where the sessions were prepared and delivered completely independently by the members of the LCs with the help of our CEEDer, Urska Batista. A great job was done and it’s really great to see that the new generation of excellent trainers is growing in the LCs. Keep up with the good work!

2. Recognition

This was very hard month – university exams, start of new term for the EB teams, intensive planning, and team days. Some people were particularly bright and we would like to say big thanks to them.

First of all – Ivan Tejeda from LC APEC Santo Domingo! Ivan was the person who delivered all the tasks for this month on time, attended the most number of meeting and was the most active in spite of all the difficulties. Thank you, Ivan!

Second of all – Clement Duclona from the LC Santiago! Continuing from the last month EP recruitment Clement managed to start the chain of incredible exchange experiences of people of AIESEC Santiago. The first exchange participant of this year started the search of internship. Thank you, Clement!

Third of all – Jose Costa for the great recruitment done. All the new members of PUCMM Santo Domingo extension received the needed education and are ready to start working! Thank you, Jose!

And last but not the least is Felix Poleo for increasing his team growth, always being there when they need him and being able to deliver all the tasks on time! Thank you, Felix!

Congratulations to all of you! We are very proud of all of you and we are starting to feel that we truly have

The right people working in ONE united AIESEC Dominican Republic!

Exchange growth

Exchange Rocks more than ever!!!
After 10 months on the term, AIESEC in Dominican Republic can say that we are getting very good with the exchange experiences that we offer to our members or our partners.

In ICX department, our statistics show an growth of 100% in all quarters, raising 7 TNs and realizing 7 TNs, and we are very proud of all the members that worked every day to make our exchanges more qualitative and to reach this increase.

On the other side, in the experiences provided in outgoing exchange, we were during recruitment process and 3 people from PUCMM Santo Domingo and 1 person from PUCMM Santiago are going to have the incredible exchange experience! We are sure that those people are the great candidates to represent Dominican Republic! And more good news: Jorelis Caridad came back from her internship in Italy! She is ready to share her experience and help in increasing exchange growth in the LC UNAPEC! Welcome back, Jorelis!

Functional areas

1. Exchange and External Relations department

Sales!!! Sales!!! Sales!!!

Also we approaching companies like Helados Bon and hopefully we will sign a partnership with them. Besides this, our National and Local ER teams is complete!!!

Regarding the awards for the Sales Campaign, for this month unfortunately we don´t have the ER member of the month for any of the local committees, but we hope that the next month we will see the results that we are expecting.

Incoming Exchange

NatCoMore and more good news in X because at the same time that we realized one TN we raised one also

We would like to welcome Annika Piepereit our new trainee from Germany! Right now we have 4 TNs available which means more opportunities in our country, so let’s match!

Outgoing Exchange

Matching period!!! Yeeeah!

We have 10 people on the platform who are searching for their amazing exchange experience! We are sure that this experience will be the best in their lives and that AIESEC Dominican Republic is really able to bring a value.

LCs are in the planning period, new recruitments are being planned, so soon we will know the ambitions and goals for the next period, to what we are striving and what we will have in the future. We are ready to bring changes in people’s lives!

Applications for the internships are about to be opened all over the year!
With this initiative our LCs will be able to constantly provide the exchange experience to the right people!

Check out Dominican Republic next week and don’t forget to tell to your friends about this!

2. Talent Management and LC Development department

The Mentorship program has started!
Our alumni are great! They agreed to participate and support AIESECers with their ideas, advice and experience! 8 AIESECers applied to participate in the program and 5 already have their mentors! Congratulations!

Big Brotherprogram is going on. New members of the organization are learning more and more every day. Big Brothers, please, remember about your younger siblings and let’s teach them all!

LC Development
NatCo
Urska Batista is leaving… :(
AIESEC Dominican Republic wants to thank her for the impact that she did, for the wonderful work, for being the inspiration for PUCMM Santo Domingo extension. We hope to see her here again!

On the second of May the plane takes off from Santo Domingo Airport…

Everybody who wants to say good-bye to this wonderful girl, please, hurry up!

3. Finance department

The new EB teams has started their work at local level, this is a great step also for the finance area because after many years we will have finance responsible at local level, this will ensure the financial independence of our LCs and also will provide new resources at local level that will be used in order to provide better experiences to all our members. Also at national level, we have started the trademark registration as part of the international criteria; this process should be done at the beginning of May.

Finally, we have approved local compendiums in order to provide clear rules for all the members, and the last step of this procedure was the approbation of the national compendium, so I would like to thank to all the Full Members of AIESEC in the Dominican Republic that attended our national legislative meeting.

Go FINANCE!
